Getting started
SabbaPlan is in preparation for the Mac App Store and requires macOS 26 or later. On first launch you can start a blank plan, explore a fictional sample or restore a previously exported archive. In the sample, choose Start your own plan… when you are ready to enter your own figures.
My forecast is empty
Open Money → Assumptions. Enter your starting balance, protected minimum balance and fixed monthly expenses. If the forecast begins partway through a month, enter the remaining budget for that month as well. Enter zero if you have no expenses. The forecast period can be set independently of the end date of your break.
Scenarios and recorded balances
Duplicate a scenario to try different income or expenses. Under Recorded balances, enter the actual closing balance for a completed month. This applies to every scenario. The next month starts with that balance.
Saving or restoring a copy
Open the archive menu in the toolbar and choose Full archive (JSON)…. Save the file somewhere you can find again. Use Restore archive… to open it on another Mac. Before replacing an existing plan, SabbaPlan saves a local backup. Find the storage folder under SabbaPlan → Settings → Show storage folder in Finder. You can also export the monthly forecast as CSV and projects and reflections as Markdown.
